This page is to use to record the hours you spend on projects for the park.
The following link is to an Excel 2002 spread sheet you may use.
Field Descriptions
Administration:
Time spent helping with office or computer work or other administration
tasks.
Construction: Time spent on new structures (building,
painting), or installing new plumbing or wiring. Interpretation: Time spent
giving or developing interpretive programs.
Maintenance: Time spent painting and fixing things
like boardwalks, plumbing, structures, and wiring.
Research: Time spent researching environmental issues and information
for use by park personnel.
Resource Management: Time spent on flora and fauna survey, exotic removal,
and prescribed burning.
Special Events: Time spent organizing, preparing for, staffing, and
tearing down park events.
Trail Maintenance: Time spent on maintaining the various
trails in the park.
Using Excel Worksheets
Paper Entry: Print the worksheet each month and fill it out as you go. At the end of the month, total the hours and drop off a copy at the Parks toll booth in an envelope addressed to Park Services SpecialistOnline Entry: Enter the time spent in each category each day for a month. The totals for each day and the entire month are automatically calculated at the bottom. At the end of the month, print a copy and drop it off at the Park toll booth in an envelope addressed to Park Services Specialist.
Hints: If you're comfortable using Excel, use this spreadsheet however you'd like to make logging your volunteer hours easier. If you're entering the hours directly into this file, make copies of the worksheets and add the date to the sheet tab name to keep track of your hours over many months.
